Call for Papers
New deadline for abstracts submission
Scholars and researchers
are
invited to present papers on every topic related to media
studies, particularly those included in the following research
areas:
1. Journalism
2. Television Studies
3. Advertising
4. Multimedia
5. Interactive Media
6. Political Communication
7. Organizational Communication
8. Sociology of Communication
9.
Theories of Communication
10. Cognition and Languages
11. Semiotics
12. Art and Rhetoric
13. Communication Ethics
We particularly welcome papers on the
relationships between media, cognition and culture as well as
those regarding the cognitive and sociocultural topics referred
to in the conference description. Papers will last for 20
minutes plus 10 minutes Q&A and they will be presented in
parallel sessions. Congress languages
are
Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
Paper abstracts should not exceed 500 words (exclusive
of references) and should state research questions,
approach,
method,
data
and (expected) results. Abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.
Deadline for abstract presentation is
April
30th, 2009. Acceptance/rejection notification deadline is
May
31st, 2009.
The abstract, edited in Word or RTF (or PDF,
in case it contains special symbols), should be sent to the

institution or address in the abstract. The

subject should be “abstract” and the message should include the
