There will be a congress dinner and a Braga
sightseeing tour.
1. Congress Dinner - Thursday, 24th September
The congress dinner will be at the Abadia d’Este Restaurant
(http://www.abadiadeste.pt/apresentacao.php).
It is a very pleasant place, located in the glen of Bom Jesus
(circa 3 Km from Braga). It occupies an area of about 25000 m2
of beautiful gardens, lawns and swimming pools.
Transportation between the congress venue and the restaurant
will be provided by the Organization.
Price: 30€ /pax
NB: Your inscription at the congress dinner must be done
until July,20, in order to keep the price (cf. Inscription form
– “EXTRAS” – conference dinner).
Inscription after this date will be charged in 7.50 €.
2. Excursion - Saturday, 26th September
From the historical Minho...
With around 159.576 inhabitants, the City of Guimarães was the
first capital of Portugal. Classified as world heritage, the
city has a rich cultural patrimony. The visit includes the
Guimarães Castle, the Duques Palace, the Church of Nossa Senhora
da Oliveira, São Tiago Square and the Penha Sanctuary.
... to monumental Oporto
With around 267,000 inhabitants, the City of Oporto has
carefully preserved its architectonic treasures, including
monuments in the Romanesque, Gothic Baroque and neo-classical
styles. The Arabic and the Renaissance styles are also present.
The modernist style is represented in the famous bridges of Luís
I and Dona Maria Pia (19th century), Arrábida, São João and
Freixo Bridges (20th century) and others under construction.
These monuments invite you to take a detailed 4-hour tour. The
visit may also include the Stock Exchange Palace or S. Francisco
Church, the Cathedral, the Real Companhia Velha Port Wine
Cellars, The Bridges, the Historical and Medieval area: Clérigos,
Foz, Boavista.
Itinerary:
Braga / Guimarães / Porto / Braga
▫ Departure to Guimarães. Visit to the Castle, St. Mickael's
Chapel, where 1st Portuguese king, Afonso Henriques was
christened and Paço dos Duques de Bragança, fine mannor house of
noble architecture, unique in the Iberian Peninsule. Walk in the
historical centreville.
▫ Departure to Oporto.
▫ Lunch in a restaurant on the city riverside (regional
gastronomy).
▫ City Tour along the World Patrimony town. Visit to Sandeman
Celars to taste Port wines.
▫ Return to Braga.
Price: 60€
NB: Tour payment should be meet the inscription deadlines
(July, 20).

After this deadline places may no longer available and if they
still are, they will be extra charged by 10€/pax.
